Installation of Rough Sawn "U" or Shaped Beams/Headers
                      

       Interior ëUí Beams:
      ®      Start with a clean dry-walled ceiling, mark your beam position on the ceiling and pre-drill 16î on
            center two 2î x 2î wood furring strips. 

®      Apply Nesco recommended adhesive (Polyurethane Sealant #6000 by Silicones Unlimited available at Nesco; ChemRex #948 by ChemRex, Inc.; Vulkem #116 by Tremco; PL Premium Construction Adhesive, PL #200 OR PL Polyurethane Sealant available at Loweís & Home Depot) to back of 2î x 2î and screw into ceiling--one-length of 2î x 2î per side spaced inside the Nesco beam dimension.  (See detail)

®      Measure beam and cut to fit ‡î longer than actual dimension

®      Dry fit beam in place

®      Pull beam back down and adhesive the sides of the 2î x 2î 

®      Reinstall beam and fasten with 2î screws into the sides of the 2î x 2î 

®      Bondo and finish holes
