Arabesque Window Installation     

                      

                                      Arabesque Window Set Installation (2 piece set)

      ®      Install window set during framing stage

®      Place the window with the double lip on the floor face down 

®      Place the window with the single lip onto the double lip face up

®      Align center openings and attach top half to the bottom half with coarse thread deck or coated drywall screws (see diagram)

®      Set window in opening and attach from outside of framing on all sides, top, and bottom using above-mentioned metal fasteners

®      Be sure that square corners of opening are level

                              Plant-On Application Only (1 piece)

®      Install at trim or stucco stage

®      Arabesque window facades should be applied with adhesivesóacceptable adhesives are those with a urethane base containing a petroleum solvent, such as Polyurethane Sealant #6000 by Silicones Unlimited (available at Nesco Mfg.), ChemRex #948 by ChemRex, Inc., Vulkem #116 by Tremco, PL Premium Construction Adhesive, PL #200 or PL Polyurethane Sealant available at most Loweís & Home Depotóin combination with mechanical fasteners

®      Fasteners should be coarse thread deck or coated drywall screws of sufficient length to penetrate the stucco and the backing material by at least 1î inch

®      They should be installed at an upward angle of about 15 degrees and be covered with an adhesive that will seal the hole in the stucco

®      A continuous bead of adhesive should also be applied around the entire perimeter of the piece and cross hatched every 6î ñ8î inches in between

®      Screw holes are to be sanded, filled with bondo, sanded again and sealedónote: Do not apply bondo over any painted surface as it will not stick and will cause blistering and paint failure.  Unsanded bondo will also cause blistering
